Enroot provides functional medicine-based nutritional health care services. This entails gathering information from you, and substantial research on my part, in formulating a personalized health & wellness plan for you. Below is a more detailed scope of this practice:

B. No license required: I practice evidence-based nutrition in the state of Maine under the “Right To Practice Complementary and Alternative Health Care Act”, and employ the following functional medicine, functional nutrition principles:
- patient-centered approach (as opposed to a disease-centered approach)
- personalized, predictive, preventive, and participatory guidance
- biochemical individuality (there is no one-size fits all approach, even in two individuals with the same condition, “disease” or symptom)
C. Practice: In providing functional medicine-based nutrition guidance, this will involve addressing the body, mind, and spirit. The nutritional workups available include (but are not limited to) the following:
- bloodwork analysis to identify clinical imbalances and nutritional deficiencies
- food sensitivity testing to identify influencers that may be contributing to leaky gut, absorption, digestion and immunity
- energy enhancement metabolism & mitochondria functions assessed to help improve energy, healthspan, and lifespan (improve quality of life)
- infrared sauna sessions to improve detoxification pathways and remove bodily toxins
- food, movement, supplementation, and wellness plans to address symptoms, deficiencies, imbalances, and enhance vitality
